Final Cut X, Tuesday, October 2nd, 6:30-9:30pm and Wednesday, October 3rd, 6:30-9:30pm

This workshop is meant to introduce members to Final Cut X, the newest evolution in post production video software from Apple, now available for members use in both our video suite and on our mobile macbook pro laptop.  This version of Final Cut features a completely redeveloped interface and sports many features that will be new to users of previous versions.  Come learn from our resident apple certified instructor Raj!

This workshop will give members an orientation of PAVED Arts’ photography lighting equipment. It will cover our tungsten and newly acquired strobe light kits. The workshop will orient members with light meter practices, colour temperature, lighting for film and digital cameras as well as camera settings for correct lighting. Members can bring their own digital or analog camera or use PAVED Arts’ Canon 5D or 7D.

EQs, Compressors, Reverbs, Oh My! Saturday, November 3rd, 12-4 pm

Taking advantage of audio plug ins and effects can greatly improve the over all effectiveness of your project.  This workshop aims at teaching members the basic functions of the three most common types of effects from both a utility and creative tool perspective.  From learning how eliminate wind from outdoor field recordings to covering how compressors can help your dialogue sit in the mix, this workshop is for anyone trying to figure out how to get the most out of their audio recordings.
