In lieu of a typical artist’s talk, Toronto-based artist Anitra Hamilton will be conducting an open call at PAVED Arts titled Casting Couch. The event will occur prior to the opening of her sound-based project Town & Country.
Saskatoon-based artists are asked to present a project for Satchel Gallery. The award winning gallery maintained a three-year run in Toronto- it’s currently on hiatus. The gallery took place in the artist’s shoulder bag. She carried one work by one artist for one month. Satchel Gallery discreetly hijacked openings, lectures and other art-related events.
If you have an idea, sign up for a visit to talk to the artist about your proposal. Please bring a printout with a brief project description (30 words or less), bio and contact info. If you don’t have a project in mind come and say hello anyway.
