Produced by the City of Saskatoon in partnership with PAVED Arts.  This call is open to all Saskatoon-based video, film or media artists.

We are looking for short video or film works to be screened as a part the 2016 Culture Days festivities: Saturday, October 1st at 8pm. Selected works will be projected onto the west facing pier of the Senator Sid Buckwold (Idylwyld) Bridge, visible from the west side of the South Saskatchewan River. On-site video projector and audio speakers will be assembled for the screening.

This years themes for I Am The Bridge are: Food, antiracism and newcomers. We encourage applicants to consider how, for example, food may be a “bridge” to stop racism, or to develop a video short that in a general, literal or abstract way touches on any of the expressed themes. Short video pieces made in specific relation to this call will be considered alongside of older works that fit the general thematic tone. This will be an open event, free to the public and ALL AGES. Screening fees will be paid for those works selected.
