Saturday May 12th, 12-4pm
Pinhole Photography Workshop
w/ Brianna Whitmore and Kyle Zurevinski

PAVED Arts is excited to celebrate worldwide Pinhole Photography Day with with Brianna Whitmore and Kyle Zurevinski as they offer hands-on workshop opportunities for youth and producing membership in our community.

This one day workshop will have participants take photos outside with handmade pinhole cameras and process their images in the darkroom at PAVED Arts.

Brianna Whitmore had her first pinhole photography experience when she was in high school and she had so much fun! This sparked an strong desire to delve deeper into film photography, further pursuing it in high school, university, and beyond. She is excited to now share this experience with teens and adults who have never had the opportunity. It’s a great way to learn about traditional black and white film photography using a simple diy camera. It is also a perfect introduction to darkroom chemistry and understanding how to create your own prints. It’s all about experimentation and exploration!

Kyle Zurevinski is a photographer, new media artist, and film producer from Saskatoon,SK currently completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts and BA in Art History from the University of Saskatchewan. His work has been shown at the Frances Morrison Library Gallery for his series “vVIBEZz”, OSAC and AKA’s provincial traveling showcase: “Futures”, the Darrell Bell Gallery and the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery. In 2017 he was a national finalist for the The Aimia | AGO Photography Prize Scholarship and is currently nominated for the inaugural Scotiabank New Generation Photography Award.
