Sophie is a passionate filmmaker and writer based out of Saskatoon. She works hard to nurture a community within the province where artists can develop their skills. She is one of the co-creators of the film production company, Floor Thirteen Films, which is responsible for both the first and second season of Pieces the web series. Her experience working with film, theatre, and digital content display her love of film and creation of Canadian content.
Sophie will be working on her project ‘The New Me’, a short film that takes a look at the way we cope with heartbreak, but continue to love ourselves. The story follows Moe, a loud 20 something-year-old woman who is woken in the middle of the night to be broken up with. Once through the initial shock, she graps at anything to not have to deal with her emotions.
