Camp: Mon. July 29th – Fri. August 2nd 2019, 11am-4pm

Official Premiere Screening: Friday, August 2nd, 7:30pm, FREE

PAVED Arts has received funding once again to facilitate the third DIY week long video music workshop for youth in our community. The 5 day camp intends to empower and educate youth. Participants, between the ages of 13-21,  will work through a series of educational workshops that teach both technical and theoretical aspects of music video production. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with dynamic local artists and professionals in a creative, hands-on environment and they will work together in teams to produce music videos and interactive photo/video collages for songs donated by established Saskatoon bands and musicians.

The camp will take place at PAVED Arts July 29th – August 2nd, with lunch provided daily.

Although the goals of this camp are not results based, the program will conclude with an official FREE screening of the music videos created during the week on Friday August 2nd in the PAVED Arts event space at 7:30pm.

This camp is open to everyone, however preference will be given to female, trans, two-spirit, gender non-conforming and equity seeking youth. With room for a maximum of 20 participants.

Beyond leaving the program with a more advanced understanding of storytelling, creative expression, photography, and video production, this program also aims to educate participants in areas such as media literacy and community development.

This program will incorporate the use of digital cameras, video cameras, cell phones and computers/laptops with which the youth will be able to edit their videos and sync them with music using affordable and accessible software supplied by the PAVED Arts Production centre.
