Call for Submissions: ISO-Lation Time Capsule
Second Deadline (the last day of every month, until we re-open): June 30, 2020

PAVED Arts and Tourism Saskatoon are proud to launch ISO-Lation Time Capsule, our latest PAVED Arts at Home initiative!

ISO-Lation is a collaborative photography project that invites everyone, young and old, in our community to submit photos of their time in Isolation as we protect our community from Covid-19. The intent of this project is to create a lasting photography exhibit of the unprecedented times in which we are living. In partnership with Tourism Saskatoon, the chosen photos will act as an archived time-capsule, and act as a reminder that even in times of crisis, art has a place. All photo submissions should be high-res, square format (or you’re okay with us cropping the photo) for posting!

Every month, we’ll post our favourites on Instagram and Facebook. After the final monthly call, all submissions will be juried by a community of peers, and all photographers chosen for the final exhibition (Date TBA) will receive an honorarium (amount TBA), via contactless payment.

Submit up to 3 photos per month, free for everyone, no experience necessary!
This call for submissions is open to all Saskatoon & area residents keen on photography, regardless of their level of experience.

> Submit up to 3 photos per applicant. Images will be posted monthly, and considered by a jury for a presentation online, and once it is safe to do so, in a physical exhibition at PAVED Arts.

> PAVED Arts will also be displaying prints of the selected photos in the PAVED Arts Production Centre. Artists will receive an archival print of their photo, as well as have the opportunity to celebrate the exhibition launch at a reception at PAVED Arts (date TBA).

> Responses to the “ISO-Lation Time Capsule ” may be symbolic, figurative, literal, animal or mineral, just so long as the expression of ISO-Lation is in the suggested format.

> Space is limited and artist fees will be designated for applicants who are selected for printing and exhibition.

> All winning submissions will be featured on @PAVEDArts Instagram at a scaled-down resolution (1080 x 1080 px). We can also include animated gifs (1080 x 1080 px) or video (1920 x x1080 px) exclusive to the Instagram feed (not for exhibition).
