AKA ARTIST-RUN AND PAVED ARTS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE TO PUBLIC
IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC

We are committed to the health and safety of our community. Taking the government advisory into account, and to ensure the health and safety of our staff, artists, patrons, members and volunteers, PAVED Arts and AKA have decided on the following actions:

1. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the recommendations to reduce social gatherings in an effort to curtail the spread, we will exercise abundant caution. As such, we are temporarily closing our Galleries and Production Centre to the public, effective as of Tuesday, March 17, until further notice.

2. All events and programs currently scheduled by the galleries have been postponed until further notice. All activities that were scheduled by third party providers in the event space are reverting back to the organizations and we advise you to confirm their status with the organizers.

3. PAVED staff will continue working in office until Friday, March 20th, and/or remotely. Administrative offices and non-public business functions will continue as usual this week—and we will be responding to phone calls and emails. Following Friday, our staff will continue to work remotely and intermittently in the office and will be able to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

4. Pippa Lattey’s Opening Reception that is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 has been postponed. If it is deemed safe, we will host a closing reception for the exhibition. We hope to share a virtual tour/artist talk with you all, in the coming weeks. We also invite you to share your questions and thoughts with the artist via info@pavedarts.ca or on social media. It’s a remarkable show, so please tune in and support this wonderful artist. // www.pavedarts.ca/2020/pippa-lattey-into-orbit

Our aim is to be preventative and not reactive. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and will provide any new developments as necessary through our website and other communication channels as required.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support and we look forward to welcoming you back when our doors open again.

In the meantime, stay safe and be kind!

Sincerely,
