Congratulations to Melody Wood of the Bear’s Song Collective for receiving the 2023 PAVED Arts Members Micro Grant!
Bear’s Song Collective will create a documentary short that features drag queens and kings who have read stories to children to talk about the backlash within Saskatoon and beyond. Positive steps are being made toward queer inclusion, but this issue seems to take us back. This is an artistic response to share with the world.
Artist Bio
Throughout Melody Wood’s freelance artistic career, her goal is to learn and challenge herself as a human and artist largely, but not limited to, Indigenous and two spirit/queer content to positively change perceptions.
