Location Sound Workshop w/ Randy Woods

Learn everything you need to know to capture the best sound for your next video project. This is the second workshop in our Film Fundamentals series. (The first workshop was “Lightning for Film” in the fall.) All are welcome to attend, and no prior experience is necessary.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn to operate a mixer/ boom mic/ lav mics and more
  • Learn the responsibilities of the sound person on a set
  • Learn about different mic choices for varying environments – Syncing cameras/Time code
  • Go thru a location kit
  • Practice micing others up and operate a boom mic

Randy Woods is a multi-discipline audio all-rounder who brings decades of experience to every job.
