PAVED Arts is excited to celebrate worldwide Pinhole Photography Day with Carey Shaw as she offers hands-on workshop opportunities for producing members in our community. This workshop will have participants build their own pinhole cameras out of shoeboxes and take photos outside and process their images in the darkroom at PAVED Arts.
CareyShaw (she/her) is a photographer of settler ancestry based out of Saskatoon,Saskatchewan, Treaty 6. With a BFA from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 2001, her photography work focuses on portraits, relationships, memories and safety. Carey has worked as an Artist in Residence with the Saskatchewan Arts Board and community arts educator and artistic coordinator with the MacKenzie Art Gallery and Common Weal Community Arts. They have taught photography and traditional darkroom practices with PAVED Arts, the City of Regina, the University of Saskatoon and Regina Continuing Education programs. Carey currently sits on the Board of Directors of BlackFlash Magazine.
Members: $10 (Supply Fee)
Non-members: $60 ($50/Price of membership at time of registration or $25 for students/underemployed + $10 Supply Fee)
