Submissions / We welcome proposals by contemporary artists, collectives and curators for exhibitions, screenings, media/new media performances, off-site and on-line projects.

Annual Call For Submissions:
Deadline September 15

PAVED Arts is a dynamic media production and presentation centre that supports experimental work in Photography, Audio, Video, Electronic and Digital Arts. We welcome proposals by contemporary artists, collectives and curators for exhibitions, screenings, media/new media performances, billboard presentations, off-site and on-line projects.

PAVED Arts is a member of IMAA and ARCA and as such observes the CARFAC and IMAA artist fee schedules. Our presentation facilities include a 1200 square foot main gallery space, an adjacent, acoustically-separated media gallery, and a programmable (50′ wide x 14.75′ high) billboard space mounted onto the front facade of our building. We share the billboard space with AKA Artist-Run, and as such programming times are negotiated with our respective schedules.

In the tradition of artist-run culture, PAVED Arts promotes the idea of the gallery space as a site for experimentation and risk-taking. Artists who engage our centre have benefited from the pliability of our resources as well as the critical dialogue that is encouraged. PAVED Arts is prominently located in the Riversdale district of Saskatoon, and draws from the strength and skills of a talented team of cultural workers.

Submissions should include:
A detailed project description (maximum 800 words)
An artist statement situating your practice (maximum 800 words)
Installation and technical requirements (including diagrams if applicable)
Current Curriculum Vitae (maximum 3 pages)
All documents should be in .pdf format

Submissions to the LINEs OF FLIGHT project may target the PAVED Arts Main gallery space, sound separated Media Gallery, the shared PAVED Arts/aka artist run billboard space, or any combination thereof.
