Artist Bio:

Keeley Haftner is a Saskatoon-based artist whose work is emerging through notions of tradition, satire, gender, archive, labour, and transience. Keeley received her BFA in 2011 from Mount Allison University where she specialized in painting, printmaking, and sculpture.  Though an emerging artist, she has already obtained an expansive list of grants, awards, professional and exhibition experience. She is the New Brunswick winner of the 2011 BMO Financial Group’s 1st Art! Art Competition, she has done a number of residencies across Canada and the U.S, she participated in Toronto’s 2012 Nuit Blanche, and recently exhibited video work in Seoul, South Korea.

Keeley plans to take a few years away from school to develop her studio practice, spend time in residency programs, and exhibit her work throughout Canada and abroad.  Eventually, Keeley plans to obtain her Masters in Fine Arts, and continue work as a practicing artist.
