PAVED Arts will proudly help present National Canadian Film Day at The Roxy on Tuesday, April 29th, with a special presentation of Down River and the PAVED Arts supported film by Jennifer Sparrowhawk “Mysterium”
April 29th is National Canadian Film Day, a day to throw off the shackles of fear and insecurity, stand together with Canadians from coast to coast and pat ourselves on the back for something other than various ice-related sports and sports-related doughnut shops. (Not that we don’t love ice-related sports and doughnuts). It’s a light-hearted intervention for our national consciousness, a wake-up call to anyone who has not yet been exposed to the great cinematic stories we tell one another in this cold, vast country. Presented by Reel Canada!
Down River – Canadian Distributor Indiecan Entertainment Inc.
DOWN RIVER is the emotionally stirring story of three young women teetering on the edge between creative breakthroughs and personal breakdowns, and their connection with the older woman they rely on for guidance, support and inspiration.
The screening will be followed by a special Q&A (via Skype) with Down River actress, Gabrielle Miller (from TV’s Corner Gas).
