Ableton User Group – Saturday May 10th 12-3 pm, PAVED Arts Event Space

This workshop is open to non-members
This is the first meeting of a brand new group organized by PAVED, and made up of a small but passionate group of Live users from Saskatoon and around the province of Saskatchewan.  Our goal is to meet regularly to share ideas, discuss current projects, and push each others art practice.  While we represent a wide range of skill levels and tastes, we primarily focus on Ableton as a tool for audio art.

If you are interested in joining the group we are on Facebook

New Gear Open House – Wednesday May 14th 6-9pm, PAVED Arts Production Centre
Through the generous support of both the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Canada Council the production centre has been fortunate to have made significant upgrades to both our mobile equipment and in house facilities in recent weeks.  This “open house” is a chance for members to come take a look at the new equipment, watch some demos, and ask questions.  Featured gear will include a demo of our new fully upgraded video suite, a look at some of the new software available in the audio suite, and an overview of the new additions to our mobile equipment including our new Canon 70-D.

**Attendance for both workshops is capped at 4 people.

Instructor: Barb Reimer

A two day hands on workshop designed to take you through the available Photographic equipment at Paved and the hybrid processes of artist, Barbara Reimer.  We will be working in the lighting studio, wet darkroom, photoshop, and the digital printer.  Day one will be all about capturing an image and developing a negative for print in the darkroom.  Day two we will digitize the images (or have them digitized) and take the images to print.  Photoshop and the digital printer may be introduced and discussed on Saturday as well as workshopped on Sunday.  Bring your camera (film or digital).

Produce Club Is Back! –  Sunday June 1st 1-4 PM, PAVED Arts Event Space
Back by popular demand, the production centre is proud to announce we are bringing back Produce Club!  Produce club is an open group for PAVED members to regularly meet, share ideas, show work, and ask questions.  The idea is to take advantage of the massive pool of knowledge that exists within our membership, learn more about the creators in our community, and foster a more collaborative energy in the production centre.  If you have a project that you would like to share, or you are interested in learning more about the work being created in Saskatoon, Produce Club is for you!
