Join us online for a showcase performance featuring work by the talented youth in our Mic Drop Program! Though a partnership with Chokecherry Studios and Saskatoon Open Door Society, PAVED Arts has held this online program every Monday evening since September of 2020, as a way to inspire and engage youth in our community, and we are excited to present some of the work that has come out of it!
Facilitated by Zoe Slusar, Betty Pewapsconias and Sean Kiskotagan, Mic Drop has offered a safe and supportive space (virtual and physical) to create art in the realm of spoken word, rap, creative writing and hip-hop, and the opportunity to record work in the PAVED Arts recording studio. This program also provided transportation to and from the PAVED Arts recording studio and had food delivered to participants’ homes.
Thank you to the City of Saskatoon and Sask Lotteries for their generous support of the Mic Drop program.
